In 1943, an experiment to create an invisible war ship failed. For 53-years, the USS Eldridge and her crew have hopscotched through time, materializing in different locations for only a few minutes, before being pulled away again. But there are those who want her to disappear forever. Max Carpenter has gone to1966 Shenandoah to bring his ex-wife back to Boston. Instead of finding Deb, he meets the love of his life—Ruthe Nantan. They spend the next forty-years building a life together and raising a family.
