Past Doctor Adventure (PDA) with the sixth Doctor and Peri, and a lengthy segment with the second Doctor. A pleasant read. I really enjoyed it, although it's hard to put my finger on quite why. I enjoyed it for the moves and countermoves, the traps and tricks, the gentle suspense of wondering how characters were going to get out of THIS one. As is typical for the author, characterisation is mainly through dialogue, so readers who have seen the sixth Doctor and Peri in action will probably get a bit more out of it than those who haven't. By coincidence I read this book right after 'Doctor Who and the War Games', so there was an inevitable comparison of the characterisation of the second Doctor employed by Malcolm Hulke vs Terrance Dicks.
