Reviews: Darlene (USA: CT) (2008/11/02):
Loved this book. Couldn't put it down. You won't be able to either.

stellastarstruck (Japan) (2009/04/09):
A so-so thriller. The characters are good, but the actual story falls at the end. Koontz has written better.

Barbara (USA: CA) (2009/06/28):
Love Koontz & Loved it!

Avigail (Israel) (2009/07/21):
One morning, Southern California gardener Mitchell Rafferty gets a call on his cellphone from a stranger saying that Mitch's beloved wife, Holly, has been kidnapped and that he has less than three days to come up with $2 million in cash. Of course, he's warned not to involve the police. While Mitch is still on the phone, the kidnapper proves his seriousness by directing Mitch's attention to a man walking a dog across the street. A moment later the man is shot dead. Mitch must walk a fine line—cooperating with the police inquiry into this murder without revealing Holly's plight. Koontz ratchets up the tension in a manner sure to captivate most readers, though some may find the ending anticlimactic.

02/10/08:
==========
Dean Koontz is a master at creating horror out of the ordinary. A seemingly simple kidnapping scheme is far more complex when in the hands of a genius such as Koontz. The twists and turns Mitch endures are heart stopping and one can only wonder how Mitch finds the internal fortitude to continue on as his beliefs about his world are shattered. The personalities of the kidnappers are, as one would expect, bizarre, and Holly's handling of Jimmy Null's metaphysical rants is nothing short of spectacular.

Anna (USA: MI) (2010/06/12):
Good story. At times Mr. Koontz could get to the point a bit quicker... but then thats how he writes in my opinion.
