Zoe (France) (2009/08/22): One evening, during their regular weekly get-together, a diverse group of women decide to leave their homes and start walking together across Wisconsin. Their pilgrimage has a deep effect upon each one of them and becomes a national and international sensation. This book has a brilliant premise and tackles a broad range of everyday tragedies experienced by women in the western world. It is also very beautifully written, the prose rich and atmospheric. In many ways I enjoyed it very much. Ultimately, though, I found it too contrived and sentimental for my taste.
Texasrose (USA: GA) (2009/08/30): Excellent girl-friends type book, inspiring story of love and support.
