sww245 (USA: CA) (2011/01/26): I'm only a casual Hello Kitty fan, but much more interested in Sanrio's history as well as it's early years and product lines. Unfortunately there's not much of either in here. There is a very vague timeline of the company and it's founder, as well as some of the major employees. The majority of the book focuses on the cultural impact of Hello Kitty, and looks deep into Sanrio's marketing strategies. This book isn't so much about Sanrio, but why Hello Kitty is so popular. It's basically a business guide that I wouldn't recommend to fans.
