Swift (USA: CO) (2008/01/04): Excellent, fantastic, well-thought novel of alternate reality. Stirling produces a credible alternate reality where Alexander the Great never dies, so the New World is never colonized, leaving the entire world bereft of the benefits of a Renaissance. The realistic feuding between the initial Families that settle the Other Side, coupled with fascinating politics and the contrast between our two worlds makes this an absolutely awesome book. I highly recommend it.
myrnalee (USA: IA) (2010/03/29): For any one who likes to read about alternative worlds this is great. I have two copies or would not list this. Have reread it several times and can highly recomend it.
