Jenny (Australia) (2008/01/03): Alice Borchardt is a FAR FAR better author than her sister (aside from the sex scenes, where she gets a bit "river of passion" unoriginal). This is gritty, gutsy and very thorough historical fiction, a wonderful story of underdog fighting back, of simple and noble people alike going 100% to save their homelands. Actually you could cut the love story out and it would still be a magnificent book, in my opinion.
