Redemption isn’t a word Jim Heron knows much about—his specialty is revenge, and to him, sin is all relative. But everything changes when he becomes a fallen angel and is charge with saving the souls of seven people from the seven deadly sins. And failure is not an option. Vin DiPietro long ago sold his soul to his business, and he’s good with that—until fate intervenes in the form of a tough- talking, Harley-riding, self-professed savior. But then he meets a woman who will make him question his destiny, his sanity, and his heart—and he has to work with a fallen angel to win her over and redeem his own soul.

Reviews: Cindy (USA: NV) (2009/10/18):
Setting: Detailed and complex
Characters: Multifaceted and complex
Plot: Intense, action oriented and complex

Yes, I think the book was complex. Ward has to deliver a lot of setup and backstory in the first portion of the book; the reader is discovering 'the rules' along with the lead character, Jim Heron. Then you reach the cascade point - do not go past this point if you have cookies in the oven, children to pick up from school, or a job that requires your presence and active participation...

The book is loosely affiliated to the author's Black Dagger Brotherhood series but reading it first is not a requirement [although it is a wonderful series!]

My favorite image? The Demon seeing itself as a Free-Will Coach and the anti-Oprah...
