I did not love this book. It didn't have the drama of the American series "Desperate Housewives" that the reviews led me to believe. Read Cathy Kelly's "Past Secrets" if that's what you're going for. If you're looking for a romance/action, which this book had parts I wanted to skip than either of those, you should look at Christina Skye. She's much better at writing books with those subjects and keeps you interested so you actually want to finish the book for your enjoyment.

I loved this book as well as the following two books in the trilogy "Taste of Honey" and "Wish Come True." If you are looking for a simple romance novel this is not the book for you. Eileen Goudge has a gift for showing the complexity and humanity of each of her characters. She drew word pictures of their surroundings so that I felt as though I were right there with them. There are twits and turns, romance, and suspense. She is an intellegent writer and expects the same of her reader.
