God-awful rubbish written by a self-important egomaniac. The only reason to read this book is to gain insight into paranoid narcissists.

I read this book in high school (of my own free will) and actually found it interesting. Of course everyone is different and for some this will be difficult to get through. I recommend reading it at least once. Ayn Rand was and is an influential writer and it really adds to your "all around" reading list.

One of my favorite books. There are some tedious passages, but just skim those. Read it with a grain of salt and sift out the great ideas. Look around you, Atlas Shrugged is "now non-fiction"
