Although this series is directed to young readers, I am a senior citizen who loved it. This is book 1 of the Maximum Ride series. I'm reading book 2 now and searching for book 3. It's truly a great fantacy series about children who have wings and can fly like birds and the trials they face as a result of that.

The First (Note FIRST) time I read this book, I instantly loved it. It had me at Chapter One. It is Directed towards Young readers, But I love it!! I am now reading MAX. The fith in the series, and trust me, You will love it!!

My son is only 13 and he adored the book. He said he started on the third book first and was able to get the story line by a few chapters. He just finished reading MAX the fifth book. He says he cant wait for the next book.
