(From Back Cover)
Jack Mullen is a driven student of the law. His brother Peter is a servant of the rich, parking the cars of the Hamptons' elite - and perhaps satisfying their more intimate needs as well. Then Peter's body is found on the beach. Jack knows the drowning was no accident, but someone's unlimited power and money have bought the cops, the judges, the system. Now Jack is learning a lesson in justice he never got in law school...and his astonishing plan to beat the billionaires will have you reeling - and cheering - to the very last page.

i love this book:

Absolutely wonderful. There is no one better than Patterson, other than his one poor book, I've never read anything I disliked. This book is the most suprising and fantastically written book I've encountered in a long time. I love this book, it's on my heavy rotation of books that I re-read. There is nothing about this book I'd ever want to see changed. I absolutely recommend this book."

I had fallen in love with James Patterson and his magical writing style. But I fell in love with his books on love. When I first mooched this book I didn't know if I was in the mood for a murder mystery. Not that I don't like them, but I was currently so hooked on the love books that it just didn't fit my need or mood. But knowing that this was his main style of writing I just had to sample it. And sample it I did. Once again I found myself lost again in the characters lives and just had to keep turning the pages to see what happens next. The plot was well developed and fantastically designed. For those of us sick of today's legal system not providing justice, this book is perfect. If only justice could work this way. This is a must read for all James Patterson fans. Or anyone who is looking for a good murder mystery, you have just found it.
