Diane-danesnboxers (USA: MO) (2007/01/06): This is OK but I think Patterson should stick with his Alex Cross series. Even as a stretch the genetic manipulation is a bit much. Danesnboxers WelshHelen (United Kingdom) (2012/09/26): Where to start? Well, this book was certainly a fast read, with Patterson's trademark short chapters and simple writing. The storyline was fantasy, to say the least, but full of discrepancies and after-thoughts. I wanted to finish it just to see where Patterson took the storyline and was very disappointed in the ending, though I know now that there's a sequel which I'll probably read just to answer all the questions I have!
I really should have given up on Patterson by now with past experiences but I hate not trying a book that's already on my bookshelf. A very generous 5 out of 10. jacquie (United Kingdom) (2014/07/22): Book 1 in the 'When the Wind Blows' series.
