Kerri (USA: OH) (2007/04/22): I loved this book!! I was a fan of Winston's as soon as I started "Good Grief" and was expecting to be let down (like i so often am) with her second book. I was pleasantly surprised that she was able to maintain her sense of humor while describing terribly painful things. I laughed out loud (which i LOVE to do!) and gasped and shook my head and rolled my eyes... these characters were believable and real and quirky and I loved them.
sesh (USA: NY) (2012/02/24): The story is great and something that I'm sure a lot of people can identify with. However, the language is ridiculous. Someone once said the use of swear words shows a lack of creativity and imagination. That is so true. Any punk on the street can swear. If a writer isn't willing to take the time and make the effort to think of a better, more intelligent, way to say something then why should I waste my time reading their books? Throwing a word in here or there to show strong emotion is one thing, but I'm only half way through chapter 2 and I'm seriously considering not reading the rest of the book because the language takes a lot away from the story for me. For readers who care about things like this, think twice before getting this book. For those who don't care, you'll probably love it.
