"Murder For Christmas, Vol. II" is a must for readers who like mystery stories, Christmas tales, or both. The collection contains works by the following authors: Woody Allen, Marjorie Bowen, Anton Chekhov, Lillian de la Torre, Carter Dickson, O. Henry, Edward D. Hoch, Baynard Kendrick, D.B. Wyndham Lewis, Ngaio Marsh, Damon Runyon, Dorothy L. Sayers, Robert Louis Stevenson, Rex Stout, and Mary Roberts Rinehart. Graphic illustrations by Gahan Wilson, who may have been an early inspiration to Gary Larson, as his pictures contain odd humor which often
caused me to say, "Oh, that's awful. Yet funny." My favorite treat in this set is "Mr. Big" by Woody Allen, simply because the last two lines really made me laugh. I'm only letting this copy go because I now have a hardback edition of same. Mooch this book for Christmas or your suspense stories collection and you'll be glad you did.
