really cute and quite funny. slightly predictable but otherwise i thought it was a nice story. its one of those books you read in a day and move on. i recommend it if you are in need of a cute love story but not an amazing, moved-to-tears book. :)

I don't normally read chic-lit but I love Kinsella's bks. I'm reading the Shopaholic bks and while waiting for 2 to arrive in the mail, I thought I'd try one outside the series. Had my reservations-but this bk is good. I'm only part way thru it and don't want it to end. Whether Luke Brandon in Shopaholic or Jack Harper in this bk, the author gives readers a guy like we all secretly dream of and wish for, one that has the means to show up with a box from Tiffany's or whisk a lady off to Paris for a shopping trip. Well, we can dream, can't we? These men are driven businessmen, and there's always the possibility of conflict between business and relationships. The spectre of domino-effect failure in all things is right there on the edge. Will Emma get her man or will something happen to put off the answer to that question to a second bk in this series? I can only hope there's a second bk.
