Kinsey Millhone is asked by a client (who is a friend of a friend) to help find the client's Mother who vanished 34 years ago without a trace.
As she investigates, she gets to learn a lot about the people who were the Mother's "friends" back then.
She helps to locate the Mother's body in a grave buried under odd circumstances.
Then she locates the killer and almost dies and is buried under the same circumstances.

I would recommend this book to any audience who likes to read about crime and mystery. In my opinion the beginning is somewhat slow but the story definitely builds up as it goes.
