Viktor (Canada) (2007/03/28): This is a really good book for serial killer buffs and psychology fans alike. It delves into the deep, dark recesses of the mind of a serial killer, explaining what makes them tick, and what morphs them into the monstrosities they are. It progresses through the different stages of the development of a serial killer, from childhood to their murderous prime. It also discusses what turns a serial killer into a murderer, including their thoughts during and after their first kill. Most books on the subject of serial murder only discuss the doings of prevalent serial killers. If not, they are jargon-filled psychology books. This is a good book for the layman, and it covers the psychology all the same. This is a book I could read again and again, so I could absorb each and every word in it. There is a wealth of information in this book that I would really like to cast to memory. It is very informative, even including a section on "how to survive a serial killer", which I have never seen before. I definitely recommend this book to anyone interested in psychology, and especially anyone whose interested in serial killers.
