Sandi Riedel (USA: MD) (2006/12/02): This is the first in Needlepoint Series. I really enjoyed this and plan to read the rest. From FantasticFictoin.com: When her sister Margot turns up dead in her own needlecraft store in Excelsior, Minnesota, Betsy Devonshire launches her own investigation into the murder, uncovering an array of suspects ranging from an ambitious former employee to a greedy landlord.
Bonnie (USA) (2007/10/28): Good number one of a new series, liked the characters. Hope they continue to develop.
WelshHelen (United Kingdom) (2008/11/01): I thoroughly enjoyed this! The murder/mystery was, in many ways, the least important part of this book. The thing I loved was the way that the author - who's obviously knowledgable about knitting and stitching - dropped in mentions of threads, yarn, materials and other stitching goodness :-) The shop sounds like a dream to me and it was so nice to see that the shop had a male assistant. A perfect example of a "cozy" mystery and I'm definitely on the look-out for more Monica Ferris books.
