Tani (USA: CA) (2012/04/23): Loved it! This is a great and very encouraging book. I read it after my husband had been diagnosed with a primary liver cancer that all his doctors expected to be fatal. He is still alive 4 years later, having refused the usual treatments and chosen to follow the Budwig protocol instead, so this book, which also involved diet (though not the one in the Budwig protocol), was extremely meaningful to me, as it reinforced a lot of what Johanna Budwig (a German scientist who studied fat metabolism) said.As the book is not in such good condition, I would have hesitated to offer it, but I decided to do so because it is such a wonderful book for anyone facing the panicky feelings that come with a cancer diagnosis, especially one with a discouraging prognosis. It will give you new courage for the fight, along with more hope. I used to be generally skeptical about alternative medicine; there are so many people out there who seem to be just in it to make money. However, my husband's experience has taught us that there is indeed a great and wonderful connection between what we eat and our health. Here's is part of the blurb from the back cover: On a June day, shortly before his 47th birthday...Sattilaro was told he was 'loaded with cancer,' and he would never live to see his 50th birthday. Surgery and chemotherapy didn't stop the spread...or ease the excruciating pain...Today, after a radical change in diet and lifestyle, he's past 50 and cancer-free. Here is the inspirational true story of his complete recovery...He tells us how the foods we love most are killing us. And he explains step-by-step what he did to get well."
