(FROM BACK COVER)

Come home to Shelter Valley where love lasts and families matter...

Miranda Parsons is content with her life. She has a great job, a wonderful family, a lovely house. She has good friends. And she lives in a town where people know her, care about her. So what's missing?

Passion - as she finds out when she meets Zack Foster.

Zack's a veterinarian who's recently moved to Shelter Valley after the failure of a marriage he'd considered perfect. He still likes being with women, but now prefers his romances "short and sweet."

Randi and Zack learn what it is to feel truly passionate about someone else - and they begin to want the passion they've discovered. But to get something, you have to give something up. Can they exchange contentment for happiness - even if great happiness means greater risk?

Marianne (Australia) (2014/10/28):
White Picket Fences is the third book in the Shelter Valley Stories series by American author, Tara Taylor Quinn. When Will Parsons volunteers his sister Randi to supervise college student pet therapy visits to Aged Care Facilities, she isn’t happy. Firstly, she really doesn’t like dogs; secondly, she doesn’t believe the therapy does anything worthwhile; and thirdly, the veterinarian she has to work with, Zack Foster is just too sexy. But her strategy to get out of this chore backfires, so she has to endure the regular visits.
Zack is still smarting from losing his wife to another woman, so even if he is attracted to Randi Parsons, he has no plans to act on it. But the best laid plans, as they say, occasionally fail. This is an enjoyable romance that expands on characters introduced in earlier books of the series as well as hinting at the fourth book. It is not essential to have read earlier books, but it does help with character backstories. This installment is a little slow, but has a sweet ending.
