The Billionaire Boss’s Forbidden Mistress is the first of Miranda Lee’s contributions to the Ruthless! series of romance novels. Meet billionaire Jason Pollack, a self-made man who made his fortune by buying, improving and then selling companies. He may look like a playboy, but he genuinely loved his first (older) wife, who succumbed to cancer four years ago. When Jason decides to buy out Beville Holdings because of a dream, he finds himself very attracted to the beautiful blonde receptionist, Leah Johanssen. But Leah is scarred, both physically and mentally, from the car accident that killed her mother and desertion by her husband. She knows what Jason wants, and it’s not marriage and children, so she intends to repel his advances. Of course, things don’t quite work out that way….. this is a delightful, sexy romance full of miscommunication and misunderstanding, with a bit of messages from beyond the grave thrown in. Classic Lee romance.
