Controversial and provocative, this edition of Lawrence James' acclaimed biography penetrates and overturns the mythology which surrounds T. E. Lawrence, yet remains dispassionate and generous in spirit throughout. It presents a fascinating study of one of the twentieth century's most remarkable figures.
Reviews:
Craig (United Kingdom) (2010/05/10): I found the biographical detail in this book thoroughly absorbing, but the attention to military strategy and the tactical detail of the execution of the desert campaigns wasn't my thing. It does tend to be divided up quite well, so that some chapters are purely biographical and others tactical.
