I really enjoyed this book. The scientific accuracy of the narrative, in terms of scientific method, and common pitfalls of scientists trying to solve a problem, was believeable. The things I found most interesting about the story were the costs associated with government projects, which have increased one-thousand-fold since the book was written. The advanced technology at the time the book was written include computers and robotics reminiscent of lost in space. Even if you have seen the movie(s), I recommend this book. For the non-scientific, this may get a bit tedious and boring in parts.
