The only fantasy books I read before these were the dragon pit trilogy, and this series is seriously addictive until the 5th book, which I have yet to finish reading... and I started reading it about 7 years ago. I don't know what happened to the rest of my Belgariad copies, but if you've read the first three books you will definitely want to give this one your time.
