Description: Matt read the forbidden runes and found himself in a world where reciting verses worked magic. He got himself locked in a dungeon, created a fire-breathing dragon, and eventually discovered a beautiful princess he swore to save. Little did he guess how hard that would be....
Reviews: DavidOlson (3 for 2) (USA: WI) (2008/11/04):
The pace of this book is excellent, and it has a lot of good ideas and is sometimes funny. I thought the religious overtones were overdone, as in, I felt like I was being beaten by a stick, and they were very mainstream catholic. The magician never makes any mistakes with his spells, which ruins some of the fun.

Tabbycat2482 (USA: IL) (2009/08/19):
i really like this book, i just got it off Book mooch not to long ago and i read it pretty quickly. some of the Shakespearean dialog can be a bit confusing but i liked it overall. someone else commented in their review that the religious stuff in the book was a bit to much. i kind of agree but in the back of the book there is a page titles "about the author" where he kind of explains why its like that so it made sense after i read that and it didn't bother me so much. very good stand along fantasy book, although i wouldn't mind if there was a sequel.
