Reviews: Lizzie and Tasha (United Kingdom) (2008/07/28):
I loved this book, it was amazing and incredibly addictive. A must read!

Jessica (USA: CA) (2008/10/15):
This is the first book I have read from this author and, while it was a good book, I will probably not mooch any others of Jodi Picoult's. The story is told from a variety of viewpoints constantly jumping around from person to person and from past to present. I feel like this strengthened the story that the author was trying to convey. There were moments where I felt like I could understand where a person was coming from simply because the author had a way of making the reader feel the way she wants you to feel. I did not know what to expect from the author upon recieving this book but I did hear a little about her surprising twists at the end. I figured that even though I was struggling to really get into the book, I would push through to the end to see how the story would end and see if it would make me a fan. However, I did not feel like the ending was very surprising and it did not cause me to run out and find another book by the author. The story was riveting, though at times disturbing; the story seemed to drag on at times and was too short in areas that I would have liked a bit more information. All-in-all, I found it to be quite an interesting read.
