Mrs Pargeter had not reached the indomitable age of sixtysomething (and a little bit more) by neglecting her friends. Even if two weeks in Corfu - self-catering - was probably just about as far as she was prepared to go. Joyce Dover had recently lost her husband. She needed the company. Yet the hot sunshine soon revealed a dark side of Joyce the intrepid detective never knew existed. Joyce Dover came to Agios Nikitas to die. But, wondered Mrs Pargeter, was it really suicide?
