Well, despite the fact that the book begins with a sextuple homicide and footchase through Zurich, this book took awhile to get into. However, once the plot got started, it was very engaging. Plenty of action and suspense, but well-plotted and not random. I figured out the "main" mystery and the big final "twist" about 100 pages before they were revealed, but that didn't detract from the overall enjoyment of the book. Definitely worth a read.

I liked this book until it hit the Improbable Sex Scene. He spends the first half of the book setting up the characters' personalities so that under no circumstances would the woman, in character, be able to sex up Our Hero, but apparently she forgets who she is midway through the book and decides that an earlier rape didn't mess with her head AT ALL.
Yeah, right.But hey, if you can get past that - badly scripted sex scenes tend to bother me more than other people, I've noticed - it's a fun read.
