Reviews: Quaker Maid (USA: MI) (2021/03/13):
Didn't care for the book.
Anti-muslim, ignorant foreigner comes to United States and thinks we don't have race issues here.
Claims he's not a Muslim hater because he once knew a Muslim man who helped him [enter eyeroll emoji here]
Glorifies his own tribe and culture and condemns his foes, not recognizing this is always a 2-way street ~at lest when it comes to culture wars and civil wars.
I haven't seen anything in the past decade of Bok's work, so I'm wondering if the bloom has come off the rose. He put the Unite States in such high regard during this book, I'm sure he's seen all the homeless, the beating of POC by police, the segregation that still exists in housing and schooling and rethought his positions on this stuff.
