Marianne (Australia) (2008/04/27): I wanted to read this after having so much enjoyed "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time" (which even my husband is reading, wonder of wonders!). Someone told me it wasn't as good. Well, I enjoyed it. It didn't have quite so many laugh-out-loud monents as Curious Incident, but it was still very funny, lots of that quirky British humour, it was very well written and dealt beautifully with some touchy subjects. I'd want to read more of Mark Haddon's adult fiction. I'm only listing it because I have 2 copies: I'm keeping one for myself. Amy (USA: SC) (2011/05/15): Loved this book. It was touching, but hilarious at the same time. Mark Haddon did it again...I had read "The Curious Incident" because my son has autism, but was pleasantly surprised by the humor. This book has his same dry wit. A joy to read.
