TypicalToo (USA: CA) (2013/08/21): Literature focused fourth or fifth grade level reader. This book uses excerpts from mostly well known and classic young adult literature ( "the Great Horn Spoon", "Caddie Woodlawn","Island of the Blue Dolphins", "Mary Poppins", etc. There are not a lot of exercises in the book, mostly literature comprehension and characterization questions for discussion and exploration. Copyrighted 1969. Nicely illustrated imaginative language arts series from Harcourt Brace Jovanavich. Good springboard to introduce the novels that are excerpted. Older but nice textbook for summer enrichement, home school literature text or supplement.
