Jillian (Australia) (2007/12/08): From the back cover of the book: "A classic of 'female Gothic' by an American feminist pioneer In The Yellow Wallpaper a wife is driven mad by her husband's 'cure' for her desire to write. In the other four powerful stories, Charlotte Perkins Gilman (1860-1935) illuminates the struggle of turn-of-the-century women to shake loose traditional sex-roles and establish a society based on women's stronger sense of moral justice."
Tweedledum (United Kingdom) (2012/09/16): The yellow wallpaper is a profoundly disturbing story, all the more so for being based on Charlottes own experiences. A very important story.
