Never in my life have I read a book with such consistently complicated characters. Although nobody in particular had the spotlight for too long, everyone played an important part. It was easy to get to know and love almost everyone in the book. Zadie Smith has the rare talent of being able to help people see the good, the bad, and the ugly, and still to make you appreciate the perspective of everyone on a very personal level. Two thumbs WAY up.
