Description: Product Description
Nicola Lancaster is spending her summer at the Siegel Institute, a hothouse of smart, intense teenagers. She soon falls in with Katrina (Manic Computer Chick), Isaac (Nice-Guy-Despite-Himself), Kevin (Inarticulate Composer) . . . and Battle, a beautiful blond dancer. The two become friends--and then, startlingly, more than friends. What do you do when you think you're attracted to guys, and then you meet a girl who steals your heart? A trailblazing debut, reissued with an introduction by acclaimed author David Levithan, and copious back matter, including three graphic novel stories by Sara Ryan (and artists Steve Leiber, Dylan Meconis, and Natalie Nourigat) about the characters.
Reviews: Iris (Philippines) (2009/05/04):
I just finished this today, covering 2 days. The plot of the story was great. I never read anything like this before and to be honest, I liked it much although I just don't understand Battle's reason why she hooked up with another after knowing that Nic has a present for her. There are also some points where there are gentle vulgarity involved that will really make you think it's some kind of a true story. Ryan did great on this book narrating Nic's point of view and presenting the complexities of loving the same sex. I say, this is an inspirational book and a gift from Sara Ryan that should be read by teens.

This book was ok, it was an interesting story but I felt like it built up just to end weakly at the end. Probably a set up for the sequel which it says she is working on the book cover. It's probably out by now, only I have no desire to read it.
