I mooched this book for my 13yr old, and thought I should check it first. Lucky I did: it's an *excellent* way for kids to learn more about the Holocaust, and the evil which was done during WW2. But I think it's so gruesome and detailed, it's probably more suited to a 15-16yr old. It really is that disturbing. However, as I said, I consider it an extremely important book for young people and will certainly make sure that each of my kids reads it. But do read it first, to decide for yourself whether it's suitable for your own.
