Product Description
Let it be flour babies. Let chaos reign. When the annual school science fair comes round, Mr Cartwright's class don't get to work on the Soap Factory, the Maggot Farm or the Exploding Custard Tins. To their intense disgust they get the Flour Babies - sweet little six-pound bags of flour that must be cared for at all times.

mrsmac (United Kingdom) (2011/01/03): Another Anne Fine children's book of genius. She can see how to explain grownup things to kids that grownups might struggle with. This amusing tale of Mr Cartwright's class, who had expected a maggot farm or perhaps an exploding tin for the school science fair, get 6 pound bags of flour.....the flour babies of the title. They need to be cared for at all times, just like a baby. Amusing and moving in equal part.
