Fiona (United Kingdom) (2006/12/10): No review could do this book very much justice. I'll be sad to let it go but it really is worth a read.It recounts one eventful day in the live of a successful neurosurgeon in London. He wakes up early one morning and witnesses an event which leads him to question the status of the world he lives in - as well as his own life and opinions. It really is a very pensive and thought provoking read contained in 300 pages of exquisite detail. It is an unfinished glimpse into the life of a normal (well off) surgeon in London and his family. He is not presented as perfect, but just a normal person trapped in ther refines of his world, as we all are. You'll enjoy it.
