Description: Product Description
An incisive, witty study of the many diverse roles of a mother takes a compassionate, original, and hilarious look at the frustrations and fulfillments, trials and tribulations of modern motherhood
Reviews: Tammy (USA: VA) (2010/07/18):
Positively hysterical read. Beautiful sarcasm and wit. The concept of motherhood is approached from a very forward-thinking (for the '80s) attitude. So, most of it is relevant, however it can still sound antiquated in some parts.

Fran (USA: FL) (2010/12/07):
Very little new material in this book. If you've read her other books, you might want to save yourself the trouble of reading this one. She uses the same simple narrative style but the stories are literally all the same with a few variations (children's names change, the number of children involved changes, etc.). the humor is dated and so are the domestic attitudes. If you like vintage humor or the historical aspects of being a housewife, the book still has value. Otherwise, it's just plain boring.

LyndaInOregon (USA: OR) (2015/01/23):
Collection of Bombeck's columns, centering as usual on kids and parents and the things they do to drive each other crazy.
