Robert Pleban (USA: FL) (2009/04/06): Lawrence Block created the "Burglar" series, one of my favorite mystery series. "Hit Parade" reintroduces us to hit man John Keller. Keller is a unique character--a hit man with a definite set of rules. Call it ethics if you like, but there's no doubt, this is an interesting person. For the first time in his career, Keller has been "set up" in "Hit Parade." He's wanted for a high-profile murder that he didn't commit. Watching him squirm out of the situation is fascinating. As usual, Block is one of my top two or three mystery writers. He can do no wrong.
