An intriguing central character--a caterer who stumbles onto murder wherever she goes--is done in by an indifferent plot. Goldy Schulz is catering for a prestigious law firm when her friend, who is a paralegal, is found dead. Davidson is a bestselling author, and maybe I shouldn't have started in the middle of the series. But I never made it past page 100. It just didn't hook me.
