This is an utterly charming story about a most unusual family, three sisters who were raised by their uncle, their father's brother, Django. According to family legend, their mother ran off with a cowboy when the girls were just 4,3,and 1 years old. This was a tad unusual as they were living in England and their father had recently died. Despite their unconventional upbringing by Django who had previously lead a very hippie life, all over the world, they grew up in a happy home and were extremely well adjusted until the day that their mother reappeared, after a 30 year absence. The girls, their husbands and children then face an entirely new situation which threatens to break down their former peace and forces them to re examine their commitment to each other. It's a lovely, gentle story, not a bit wimpy, and a very good read.
