John Alwyine-Mosely (United Kingdom) (2007/04/05): Absolutely Brilliant, 24 Sep 2006 Reviewer: sparkieplug24 (uk) This is the first Alex Cross novel and probably one of his best books. There is a film out of the same name which is very good but doesnt come close to being as good as the book. I would recommend that to really fully understand the stories that you read the books in order of publication. Alex Cross is a homicide dectective in South east who has been pulled off the murders of poor black people in the south east to investigate the kidnapping of two white children from two well known rich families. This is were the story begins and is were you will get your first taste of Gary Sonjei. Alex is stilling coming to terms with the death of his wife a few years before in an unsolved drive by shooting.
