re: Amazon search not working

I see I am not alone with the search function difficulty. When I discover an author I like, I search the author's name to see what else might be around - that hasn't been possible for a couple of weeks now. I see others are aware of the problem and I hope it will be resolved soon.

There is a slightly related issue:
I am baffled by the fact that (when the search function was working) so many ebook versions appeared when to the best of my knowledge, we can't / don't mooch or offer ebooks. Sometimes I had to scroll through a few pages before finding paperback versions of the books.

I greatly appreciate bookmooch and hope these issues are easily (and swiftly) resolved.
Thanks.

re: Emails have changed

Maybe this explains why some people never respond to mooch requests?

re: Coming: 3 point intl mooches

I don't know whether it's due to the point system or not, but I notice far fewer people have been mooching from me recently. As some of the books I've posted are the type which would have been snapped up previously, and many of them are on people's wishlists, I can only surmise that it is related.
I do note that I have relatively few points left available to mooch with and several people I mooched with previously now no longer have enough to do anything.
I was sorry when you stopped giving a tenth of point for people to acknowledge reception, and still feel the three points for international mooching is making it so there's a lot more hesitation before deciding to mooch a book.
When I had plenty of points I often mooched a second or third book from an unknown author to make the parcel and mooch more attractive to the sender. Now I would hesitate to mooch a book not on my wishlist. I don't think that was the point, was it?

re: International mooches now 3 points

This system, as has been said by many others, places those of us living in small (non-English speaking) countries at a huge disadvantage. It's rarely been possible for me to mooch domestically and therefore I feel penalized by the new system.
As it's expensive to ship books internationally, the third point seemed fair compensation. I don't see why the point inflation was problematic- in my experience it also led to people kindly offering to smooch points. Part of the nice "community" feel mentioned above.
I understand the financial hesitation for people to send books internationally, but don't see what would be gained or how this would be changed by making the moocher pay more.
I sincerely hope the old system will be reinstated after this trial period.
