re: Clarification?

If it says there's been a mail sent to the moochee that's just the system confirming your request. Sending a reminder (I see you did!) is always fine at this point. Sometimes sending a more personal email works better but I've found that's a 50/50 chance. Since it's been way more than seven days since your request, you should probably cancel and put "no response" as the reason. It looks like someone else actually has the book, so it might be worth asking them! :)

re: Clarification?

If you requested any books internationally from someone who is "ask first" then the approval message you got was simply a "you have permission to mooch this book" message. Since it's a two-step request system, the request must be approved twice.

Have you gone through your email to see what messages you have relating to the books?

re: Looks great...One Question

Media mail starts at $2.38 and then goes from there (very) incrementally by weight. You can send five pounds for about four dollars, which is why the Canadians hate us.* It's a flat rate for the entire USA, unlike first class. However, you CAN send books via first class mail, and it is in fact sometimes less expensive to do so. Let your postal clerk know that you're sending a book, and flat-out ask for the lowest price between media mail and first class.

And welcome to BookMooch!

* I'm joking a bit, but Canada has very expensive domestic postage.
