re: "Kindle Edition" And Other Non-Existent Formats
Can you point me to some Kindle Editions that are making it through? I already have a whole list of "Bindings" that are supposed to be banned. It's very annoying that Amazon tries to shove these non-books at us, by labeling them as books but with a non-book binding. Sigh.... FYI, here's a list of all the banned "Bindings" that are supposed to already be suppressed. They might be getting through somewhere I overlooked. {Accessoire} {Accessory} {Album} {Album vinyle} {Andere Ausgabe} {Appareils électroniques} {Apparel} {Audio Download} {Automotive} {Baby Product} {Babyartikel} {Badartikel} {Board Game} {Cadeau} {Camera} {Computerspiel} {Digital} {DIY & Tools} {Electronics} {Elektronik} {Game} {Game Cartridge} {Garden & Outdoors} {Gartenartikel} {Geschenkartikel} {Gift} {Grocery} {Health and Beauty} {Jeu vidéo} {Jewelry} {Jouet} {Kindle Edition} {Kitchen} {Kitchen & Home} {Lawn & Patio} {License} {Microfiche} {Microfilm} {Misc.} {Misc. Supplies} {Mook} {MP3 CD} {MP3 Download} {Office Product} {Personal Care} {Personal Computers} {PlayStation} {Puzzle} {Shoes} {Spiel} {Spielzeug} {Sports} {Textilien} {Tools & Hardware} {Toy} {T-Shirt} {UMD for PSP} {UMD Mini for PSP} {UMD pour PSP} {UMD Universal Media Disc} {Video Download} {Video Game} {Videospiel} {Watch} {Wireless Phone} {Wireless Phone Accessory}

re: Keep track of emails requesting int'l mooches
This is how BM used to work when I launched: all emails were archives in BM itself. However, I decided it'd be better if BM didn't get in the middle of conversations, and instead let people communicate directly. Intl mooch requests are a bit weird, because I didn't want to give people's email addresses out if they're rejecting (sort of inviting an argument). That being said, I think BM could do a better job of logging what goes on with each mooch, and that'd be a goal for the future. -j

re: Wishlist/Mooching Flow
I'm pretty sure that mooching a book removes the related editions already (I'll check again, though): but only the related editions that BM knows are related. Often, the problem is that the "related editions" data I get from LibraryThing and OCLC isn't complete. One solution would be to let you indicate that a number of books are a related edition, and that'd be a good idea for the future. -j

re: Batch Label Print
Unfortunately, this is a hard feature to add, because of different page sizes, and the inability for the web browser to put a page break in. I own a cheap Dymo label printer: I find that's the best way to print labels one at a time. -j

re: Condition note
The email to a random wishlister is sent 2 minutes after you list a book, so you have up to two minutes to add a condition note, and they'll see it. RSS feeds and the API are similarly delayed by 2 minutes. Another reason for this, is that people often add the wrong book by accident, then hit "whoops, undo", and it would be annoying if the wishlist email had already been sent. My guess is that the person just didn't read your condition notes. -j

re: Wishlist By Author
This is fairly tricky for me to do, as author names are not that consistently entered by Amazon and others, and it has some very big server performance issues, as every book added would have to be compared to a possible list of author names being followed. That's why BM tends to be ISBN focussed -- so, sorry, at least for now this probably won't happen. -john

re: printable list / organize inventory alphabetically by title / visible wishlist capability
| | I would like to be able to print my inventory with a print button on the screen. |
To do this, I hit "show all" and then file/print in my web browser. | | I would like to be able to arrange my inventory alphabetically by book title for when i have to purge errors from my list by comparing what's listed with what I actually have...what to read as priority. |
Agreed, this is coming. | | I would like to have a 'to be read' list so I know what I have at home that needs to be read. |
I've thought this would be a useful feature too, at least for me. Would it just be books you've mooched, or any books? For me, it'd be a kind of mini-librarything, of a list of books that I want to read, perhaps with priority. Then, once I've read it, the "to be read" list would have a "give away" and "add a review" button. -john
