re: Duplicate ids

Hi - yes there was one letter difference which I missed! As I often proofread I am ashamed to admit that, but it was because the second was a misspelling of a Welsh use word, and that fooled me!
Thank you both for taking the trouble to reply!

re: Duplicate ids

They are totally different bios, one inactive in UK which is the only one my browser locates, one active in France, which is the one I wanted to find and could only do so with the prolonged trawl through the members in that location. I'll check the urls - done so and they are identical!
She has just contacted me so I will see if my message gets back to her, by sending it email. The problem would come possibly if we tried to contact her through BM.

re: re: People not paying postage

It is possibly not the fault of the sender at all!! The Post Office returned one of my parcels as having "insufficient postage". I took one look at it and laughed! I always use stamps and normally special edition stamps or Welsh generic stamps. I attach them to a sheet of paper so they can be cut off without damaging the packaging - which I hope will be reused, and kept, given to a stamp collector, a school or a charity. Where the Welsh generic stamps had been the paper had been cut! Since I put the adding up of the stamp values beneath this and keep a proof of posting on which I additionally write the weight and stamp value of each package I had proof stamped by the post office I took them to that I had put sufficient postage and that one of their sorting or collection staff had decided to keep the stamps for him/herself!
The explanation may be similar in your case if it has happened with packages from different bookmoochers.
Nothing similar with incoming mail has ever happened to me, but our postmen deliver and collect which is not in their remit, and go the extra mile for us. One my son saw in a busy town was sacked when he produced photographic evidence of the postman 'delivering' his Royal Mail to a skip (dumpster) by the sackload!

re: re: People not paying postage

I guess it was accidental, or the stamp fell off as it is only one case where you have mentioned this as feedback, and that is the only occasion on which the person you mooched it from got a comment about postage.
It would be helpful in such an instance first to contact the giver and clarify what happened.
