Status message:
I am currently a bit overwhelmed by houseguests and work projects and all the joys of life...but I am frequently online despite the crazy schedule.

If YOU have some books that need a home and you want to make a difference, visit my website and click on the CALEB Library section. Contributing to Africa's Literacy & Education with Books = CALEB. YOU can change lives for people in remote areas of northern Malawi by sending books. Please go to my site:
www.pulverpages.com
and read about CALEB Library Project. Then share some of the books on your shelf. Thank you for your help . Please, tell your friends! It is the small things that often mean the most...so change some lives, one book at a time - just do it! 8-)

One more plug - are you shopping online? Please visit
www.nmcl.org
and find the NMCL Marketplace. You can make purchases at many of your favorite stores and the New Mexico Coalition for Literacy will get a donation! Yes, YOU can help adult New Mexicans learn to read and write, just by shopping! So shop away!

Bio:
My spouse and I are currently in AmeriCorps*VISTA following a couple years in Ukraine (Peace Corps adventures from 2005-2007) We lived in Spain for a decade (5 years under Franco & another 5 under the first years of King Juan Carlos.) Business had me all over Europe for years. Between life outside the USA and living on a "volunteer" budget, book sharing and libraries really are a way of life...gotta get my fix somehow!

My idea of a good time? Lazing in a hammock with a good book!

I'm eager to spend some time loading an inventory here - in my opinion books are happiest when they are being read rather than when they are simply lounging on a dusty shelf somewhere!
