PLEASE DO NOT SEND BOOKS WITH HIGHLIGHTING. WE ARE NOT ABLE TO SEND THEM OUT TO THE PRISONS. UC Books to Prisoners is an Urbana Illinois based project providing books to Illinois inmates at no cost. We offer books by mail to all Illinois inmates and operate lending libraries in our two local county jails. We have sent 47414 books in 12446 packages to 7522 inmates! We are always in need of dictionaries, GED Prep, poetry, urban fiction, writing, drawing, addiction & recovery, history, health & exercise, guides to learning a trade (construction, electricity etc).
