I find television to be very educational. Every time somebody turns on the set, I go in the other room and read a book. ~Groucho Marx
Yes, we can read. A few of us can even write. From Pulitzer Prize winners to revolutionaries who initiated momentous cultural change...
oh, yes, Mississippians can write.
No other state in the country can claim as many honored,
awarded, and revered writers as Mississippi.

Recently retired, I taught reading and English for thirty years in public and private schools and colleges. Now I work with adult literacy, struggling readers, and ESL students. Also, I teach piano to emotionally disturbed children.
Hurricane Katrina took our home and most of our books, and we have been so fortunate in replacing many of them through BookMooch. One of the things I miss most is my collection of antique reading books. I inherited them from relatives...almost every female in the family is a teacher....and purchased some of them at estate sales. I know books like this would not be book mooch items, but anyone who would like to sell some vintage readers please feel free to contact me.
